Bachelor of Early Education
I moved to Lennox Head in 2004 after completing my Batchelor of Teaching (Secondary PD/H/PE). It's my family's playground, and we're often exploring on the river, ocean or participating in community sports.
For 13 years I worked locally as an Outdoor Recreation and Primary school teacher in the Northern Rivers. I also worked for a few years in Aged Care Community Management! As teaching, care & relationships have been at the core of my career, the natural progression for me was to return to university & add Early Childhood Teaching to my profession.
I've been fortunate to be teaching at Fox St since 2020. I believe that educating children is about ‘sparking a flame’ for now and the future through authentic and exploratory play. Building safe and secure relationships with you and your child is certainly, the foundation for exploration and learning. What a privilege to teach in these formative years!
